25.  Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas

The holy war in ancient mythology. For 200 years, the goddesses Athena and Hades have fought each other while defending the earth. The story takes place in Europe in the 18th century, 243 years before the original “Saint Seiya”.

Three children, Tianma, Alone, and Sasha, spent a very happy childhood together. The grumpy but upright Tianma moved to the sanctuary to become a saint. There, he reunited with his sister Sasha, who was alone, and learned that she was the reincarnation of the goddess Athena. A kind, gentle, and painterly person was chosen as the corpse of the enemy king Pluto. Tianma eventually became the saint of Pegasus and fought a fierce battle with his best friend, King Hades. Pegasus Demon, King Hades, and Goddess Athena merged through their three twists of destiny, opening the prologue of the original Saint Seiya.

24. Hinomaru Sumo

There are no weight classes in professional sumo. It is a wild sport in which the strongest will survive, and anyone who wants to try their hand can enter the ring. However, there is a minimum size requirement to become a pro-sumo wrestler, and young Hinomaru Ushio, while he may be incredibly talented and hardworking, does not meet this requirement. This little boy has big dreams of reaching the top-notch sumo, Hinoshita Kaisan. The only way he could become a pro is to become Yokozuna High school, the title given to the Strongest Wrestler in High School Tournaments.

Ushio is under a lot of pressure and also has a time limit. If he can’t show off his skills in high school tournaments, he may permanently lose his chance to become a professional, and the odds are against him. Instead of enrolling in Ishigami High school, Japan’s best sumo school, he enrolls in Odachi High and has to build a sumo club from scratch with one dedicated member Shinya Ozeki.

23. Shigurui

At the beginning of the Edo era, when the people were enjoying a time of peace, Lord Tokugawa Tadanaga organizes a fighting tournament. In the past, duels were fought with wooden swords. This time, real swords will be used.

These students are not only gifted with the abilities they draw from the souls they are associated with, but also blessed, and perhaps cursed, with the fates of these warriors of the past.

One of these students is Hakufu Sonsaku; a young, caring, dumb girl who recently moved to Nanyo Academy and will be living with her cousin, Koukin Shuyu. Hakufu’s arrival creates an almost immediate sense of tension due to her power as a warrior and the possibility that she may be the one who bears the spirit of the Chinese leader, Sun Ce.
