The Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok

Loki, the Norse god of mischief, has been exiled to the human world for reasons he does not understand. In addition to being deported, Loki is forced to assume the form of a human child. The only way for him to return to the realm of the gods is to collect the evil auras that take over human hearts. To accomplish this, he establishes a paranormal detective agency. Loki is aided by his loyal companion Yamino. The two are soon joined by a human girl named Mayura Daidouji. Bungo Stray Dogs

Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out of his orphanage and now has nowhere to go and nothing to eat. He saves a man who is attempting suicide while standing by a river, on the verge of starvation. They have supernatural abilities and handle cases that are too dangerous for the police or the military to handle. They’re looking for a tiger that appeared in the area recently, around the time Atsushi arrived. The tiger appears to have a connection to Atsushi. The story revolves around an elite police officer named Ryko Yakushiji. She graduated from Tokyo University’s Law Faculty and is currently one of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s youngest superintendents. No one remembers the boy’s face, and only three distinct details remain in their minds: golden inline skates, a baseball cap, and the weapon: a bent golden baseball bat. Heaven’s Memo Pad

Narumi Fujishima is a high school student who avoids school life. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he is required to serve on his school’s “Gardening Committee,” alongside Ayaka Shinozaki. He is also persuaded to join NEET. NEET is an amateur detective agency comprised of unemployed slackers who investigate and solve cases on their own. “Alice” is a childish, anti-social extreme shut-in who leads the NEET agency. Detective Conan

Shinichi Kudo, a seventeen-year-old master detective, possessed everything. He could solve any problem that was brought to his attention in record time. Ran is his high school friend. Shinichi and Ran become separated one day while visiting an amusement park. Shinichi becomes aware of a shady transaction and observes two men in dark trenchcoats. Black Butler

To avenge his family’s death and successfully lead their influential toy manufacturing company, a young boy sells his soul to a demon. The demon takes the form of a loyal butler who is always dressed in black and is expected to protect, serve, and arrive whenever his young master Ciel summons him.


The plot of Hyouka follows Hotaro Oreki, a high school student who dislikes expending energy on anything, who is forced by his older sister to join the Classic Lit Club to keep it from closing down. Chitanda Eru, Satoshi Fukube, and Mayaka Ibara join him. They work together to solve various mysteries around the school, mostly at Eru’s request. The series is based on Honobu Yonezawa’s 2001 mystery novel, book one of six, with the remaining five books published between 2002 and 2016. Terror in Resonance

While the world searches for the criminal mastermind responsible for this tragedy, two mysterious children – children who shouldn’t even exist – expertly carry out their plan to alert the public to a buried tragedy while evading capture. The plot revolves around Satoru Fujinuma, a young man from Chiba who possesses the “Revival” ability, which sends him back in time moments before a life-threatening incident, allowing him to prevent it from happening again. When his mother is murdered by an unknown assailant in his own home, Satoru’s ability transports him eighteen years back in time, allowing him to not only save his mother but also prevent a kidnapping that killed three of his childhood friends.


Un-Go takes place in a dystopian Japan of the future. Following the arrival of an unnamed war and multiple terrorist attacks on the Japanese mainland, the Japanese government decides to revoke Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution and mobilize self-defense forces in retaliation. After some time, the war-torn country achieves an uneasy peace, and the Japanese government passes the “Information Privacy and Protection Act” in the name of preventing terrorism and future attacks on the country. The Act gives Rinroku Kaishou, a tech company executive, control over a vast surveillance network that can collect data from nearly any connected device in the country, which he allegedly uses to combat all types of crime.

Detective School Q

Detective School Q follows a group of young students from Dan Detective School (DDS), a prestigious and renowned detective academy founded by Morihiko Dan, Japan’s most famous detective, and the adventures and mysteries they unravel and solve together. They eventually work against Pluto, a mysterious organization that devises nearly fool-proof plans that only a handful of detectives can decipher.

Death Note

Ghost Hunt follows Mai Taniyama, a first-year high school student who becomes involved with Shibuya Psychic Research (SPR) and its young manager, Kazuya Shibuya. Because of his narcissistic attitude, Mai nicknames Kazuya Shibuya “Naru,” and the nickname is generally adopted by all those who come to eventually work with SPR: Buddhist monk Houshou Takigawa; shrine maiden Ayako Matsuzaki; celebrity teen psychic Masako Hara; and Catholic priest John Brown.

Gosick takes place in 1924 in a small, French-speaking fictional European country that stretches from Switzerland to the Mediterranean Sea via the Alps between France and Italy. The country is referred to as “Sauville” in the English translation of the light novels, and the capital of Sauville is referred to as “Saubureme” in the anime adaptation. The plot revolves around Kazuya Kujo, the third son of an Imperial Japanese Army officer, who is a transfer student at St. Marguerite Academy, where urban legends and horror stories are popular. Victorique de Blois, a mysterious yet beautiful and brilliant girl who never comes to class and spends her days reading the entire contents of the library or solving mysteries that even detectives can’t solve, meets him there.
